Transfer stats

We should be able to transfer our stats over from our old superboss/agent profiles to our new steam profiles.

To explain better, I'm talking about being able to transfer stats from normal profiles

The easiest way to implement this would probably be inside of the intruder steam verison, signing into your superboss account and just transferring over the stats or a page on the website that would make you login to your superboss account and then login to Steam via it's OpenID.

Legacy stats should definitely be seen somewhere on a players profile

I know I am not the developer so I don't have any say in whether or not this happens, I do not agree with this because some players screwed around a ton back in the days before steam. It wouldn't be fair to transfer those stats over from the old accounts to the new steam accounts that we use considering other players didn't invest as much time into it as others. Consider your time spent playing Intruder BEFORE it comes available for purchase from the steam marketplace a one up on the players who will buy the game once its released your time to shine and get ahead in those stats if you care to do so. Stats aren't very meaningful when its just 30 total people you play against. Try adding 1000s to the list of people you play with and then you'll see your stats drastically change.

I am not against this idea however. I am #1 in the most hours in Intruder and it'd be cool if my stats transferred but I don't really care considering other players need a fair chance to get stats they wished to get before but couldn't because us older players kick their asses far too much.

I understand what you're saying, seeing this change more as a complete new start. Perhaps it could just be specific statistics that would be transferred over or maybe a badge that anyone who supported/bought the game before steam.

it would be pretty rad to have a specific stat transferred but wouldn't make much sense in the grand scheme of things. Your old intruder stats will be saved for as long as humanly possible, I'll make sure of that :)

it still would be unfair even if 1 stat of your choosing transferred over. There are plenty of people with -20+ downvotes and I understand most people wouldn't see them as stats but they are included as stats and a lot of those people receive downvotes simply because other people have downvoted them so they receive harsh criticism solely because of that.

Its not always their fault. But again, I'll agree that it'd be really awesome considering i'm still top in SOMETHING in intruder, compared to nothing as I sit right now. I just don't see it happening or provide any beneficial actions for the devs in the future. It's probably best to move forward with a clean slate for what is left to come.

Stay tuned - I hope and will fight for more stats to be tracked in the future. I know its something the developer has wanted but is on a lower priority considering other topics at hand.

I get what you're saying, just a simple badge for having the game before steam (preferably viewable on the web profile, not in game) would be nice though. I would love more stats, I always thought this game not tracking kills / deaths was a nice choice to discourage people from just stealing every kill and forgetting to have fun. I would love to see more silly stats like how many enemies have slipped on your banana peals, how many enemies you've pushed over, how many doors you've unlocked, objectives complete (or how many things you've hacked or packages you've stolen).

yes, I totally agree. Thats the kind of stuff that really interests me in video games. Seeing all of that data on items, silly or not.

I forgot to mention, there has been talks of clan badges/patches built into Intruder. I'm not entirely sure on its progression but its something to look out for in the possible future. There would be the place to put something like 'OG Player' patch at for sure.
