In-depth Dismemberment and Blood mechanics

I believe gore or at least a more aesthetically pleasing blood system would be great, and would make the gun play so much more satisfying and rewarding.

Blood

-Blood decals should be smaller, and should represent high velocity spray. Current blood looks extremely cartoonish.

-Blood decals appear on bodies, and could maybe soak into clothing over time.

-Blood splatter from entrance wounds should be small and should effect only the floor or any surfaces immediately in front of them, meanwhile exit wounds would generate an intense high velocity spray hitting the floor and wall behind them, following the general path of the projectile. This could be very useful, as this could reveal the general direction the perpetrator fired from.

-Blood pooling should also be added, appearing below the wound(s) inflicted. Maybe another extra detail could be blood soaking, blood pools could soak into carpeting and fabric which would show how long the victim has been dead.

-Blood pools below head wounds and other high pressure areas develop faster.

-Blood dripping should appear at different intervals and intensities depending on the severity of wounds. Staying in one spot for a prolonged amount of time would result in small blood pools.

-Crawling while bleeding would result in blood smearing.

-Blood decals could also be animated and could drip down a vertical surface, like the following  image taken from Insurgency:Sandstorm.

Dismemberment:

-Maybe simple 2 point dismemberment per limb would be great, but can only be activated by multiple shots or sniper rounds or any future heavy weapons.

-Heads could have multiple gory variations, depending on where they're shot or even complete destruction, resulting in chunks of brain matter, teeth, eyes, skull fragments, etc. raining upon the environment. However, cartoony over the top decapitation shouldn't be possible to go along with Intruders more realistic feel.

-Blood spraying and pooling would occur beneath stumps.

Think of L4D2...

I believe dismemberment isn't that important, but the blood should definitely be revamped and be a lot more detailed. What do you guys think?

I think that for a game centered around avoiding open combat doesn’t need such a mechanic, the blood we have now is good enough, and we should focus on other things, plus, this might scare away people who have no interest or have a fear of gore.
