Not a bad idea - I like the idea of body armour and I think it would be cool, too

but it lacks information.

I would encourage you to re do this post with more information to explain 'how' it works and 'why' anyone would consider using this. 

Also consider the purpose of the gear. Why should this be added?

I suggest that you give stats. What upsides and downsides are applied to players that use this gear?

Maybe the purpose of the gear is just to give the player damage resitance, which may have a purpose, but I think this gear can be alot more unique than just a gear everyone is rushing to get because it gives the player a strait advantage.

I also see the purpose of giving a player stright damge resitance in silly gamemodes and on silly maps.
